Default Paint and an Exorcist?

Hey Gang,

Since taking possession of my 05 S-Type, I've been subject to pothole damage ($500 because of severly destroyed wheels and tyres), fog light breaking and now the latest--paint. Some kind ^&%$^ in my parking garage decided to trade paint with my driver's side bumper pad. Fortunately, I could change the marker lens easily (well, sustained a gash and little lens pieces in the cut--talk about being one with the auto).

However, after a mini detail, there is evidence of paint loss (down to the black plastic). About an inch wide in some places, less in others. Can I use good touch up paint (primer+base+clearcoat) to fix? Dealer wants $300-$500 to fix! [8D]I really don't have the skill to spray and blend...I'm thinking of using a pen or bottle from paintscratch.com (I think that's what it is called). Just wanted some advice from the experts.

Also, if anyone knows of an exorcist who can purge the evil out of my car, I'd be appreciative!!

A couple of thoughts on the paint. Maybe a good detailer could buff out the scratches, plus give you a good polish and wax. Or get another bid from a body shop.

If your using a paint pen or getting one just go to your local jag dealer. I paid 13.?? for mine with 6% sales tax included. That included paint and clear in a box. Otherwise try another shop if its small.

Hey M16did you everreplaced you foglight yet? I was hoping to buy it from you? I know that itis damaged but I just want to fool with it before I do my projector swap into my foglights. I would like to know if I need to fabricate anything special to allow different projectors to fit into the existing space. Thanks

Hi Momo,

Not as yet. Methinks a good a project over the holidays! As soon as I have the wheel and tyres replaced, paint the bumper and wing damaged by the lovely neighbours, find a young priest and an old priest to exorcise the demons from her, I'll start on the fog lamp. Then, she is yours!
