i have a 2005 S-Type 6 cylinder. i am receiving 2 error messages.
park brake does not apply and park brake on. i also get a constant beeping sound when i am driving. When i stop the beeping stops but the error messages continue to display. i can feel no effect on the car. runs smooth.

You may want to see what codes are stored in the EPB module or else you're likely to be guessing what to change/fix. It's commonly the case that no-one's done any maintenance/servicing of the EPB cables, motor etc and then problems occur.

Remove the rear wheels and watch while a helper applies/releases the EPB. One side (or both) are not responding properly.
