I have an 2003 S-type V8.Sometimes when I turn off the engine and I'm pulling the key from ingnition,and the parking brake light is on,the car is starting to make a noize,it's like a beep. It's not always doing that. I've checked the brake fluid level and it's normal...do I have to change the brake pads?...anyway when I'm taking it for the oil change @ the dealership I'll tell them. I just don't want them to charge me for something that's not necessary( maybe I have to change the pads only...not the rotors too)

beeping is indicating a fault with your electronic parking brake.. may need a new motor.

 

I think you're right because not always I can hear the motor noise when I put it in Parking.And I saw that one of the other members had a similar problem with his 2003 ST. And Ihave an ideahow much are the repairs bc one of the other technicians post it
