Default Part Number

Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me the part number of the retainers shown in the attached image?

I have gone through the parts catalog but couldn't find these.

Appreciate it.

Thanks,
Rizwan

If you call up the dealership I'm sure they'd know what you're talking about. I seem to be missing a few the other day I noticed.

Yes!

Sorry 'bout that...didn't mean to appear to be an Ahol...but it's a frigid 50 F out there tonight..I had to walk out to the shop and find the right invoice in the right file:

XR8812941 "Clip" - $2.65 ea. on my 12/21/10 purchase

Thanks Guys for the quick replies.

AholBro1, I appreciate you taking the pain of going out and finding it...

I tried 4-5 websites which sell OEM parts but didn't have success . Don't wanna be sneaky and ask you to recheck the number again but Its not urgent (At least not to be shivering in the crazy weather) so whenever you have time or I'll call them to inquire about it.

Appreciate you guys!

Thanks,
Rizwan

I brought the invoice down here and typed directly from it. If wrong....Autobahn maybe charged me the wrong price...the parts were the right ones...actually, not for me..I picked 'em up for a friend at work with an 01 S-type while I was getting 4 pcs of IMT O-rings. But I remember handing them over to him and that is what they were. Good luck with it...but if push comes to shove....call Joe at Autobahn Jag - Parts in FW and tell him you need the same XR8812941 fasteners he sold Zane on 12/21/10. He'll mail 'em to ya... no biggie on the "pain"....I like to tweak our snow-belt friends now and again by reminding them a witch's thorax is in the 40-50 F range....they've got it much worser..

You are the man... I was not expecting this much fast reply!

Anyways did some more search and seems like search by name rather than part number seemed to work

I seem to have found it

Thanks a lot.

I've replaced many of the lousy plastic fasteners under the hood with metal bolts, including these just a few months ago. Fixes the plastic breakage problem permanently. Yes, it takes a bit more time to grab a wrench to remove / install them when you need to, but I believe it's worth it in the long run....
