Default Parts cars

Since parts cars are hard to come by in my area, are there any parts I should keep an eye out for that will interchange with my 2003 STR? As of right now there are only a 2000 x type and a 2002 s type 3.0 I can pull from. Parts are extremely cheap at this yard so I'd like to grab anything I can use.

Check local Craigslist ads, even in nearby cities. Seldom seen are ST-Rs, but normally aspirated ones are more common. Jaguars usually don't wind up in pull-part yards.

There are many plastic parts that I wouldn't trust in an engine compartment, but interior and body panels are fine.

The parts that mostly fail either need new ones (DCCV, O2s, plastics, brakes, suspension, etc) or aren't on the cars you list.

You could acquire some modules but do not fit any without finding out if they need reprogramming!

Are there any parts that I would do good to pull and sell on eBay? Example, I see center consoles selling in the hundreds but I would only be paying $25usd for one plus my time to pull it.

Many of the EBay parts are pulled from running wrecks; and the vendor will often have a picture of the car it was removed from.... And provide some kind of warranty with it.

My experience with pick it yourself yards is that the one in the car before you has used a screwdriver to pry and break every part you are looking for.

It depends on the car it is pulled from. Here, in Eastern Europe, second hand parts market is a lucrative trade. The problem is, most of the cars have been in a serious accident and have stayed in a yard for a long time. This means that most of the interior parts are probably worse than the one you have. I would not bother buying interior components second hand. Much better idea is to restore the one you have. As for modules and other equipment parts, second hand could be a good option.
