Petrified Seats
Ok, has anyone addressed the concrete foam Jag used in our seat bases? I know they're designed for more pillowy based lady's bums and not my disappearing glutes but I only notice the mahogany like support when I jump into another(any other) car's seat. S seats are like or even firmer than, a 1970s Benz bold bolsters.
That and I notice the seat back frame has as much lateral rigidity as a gyroscope. Do the R models have the same seats?

There was a surprisingly (to me) wide choice of seats and adjustability (for each of driver & passenger seats). The default R ones seem good (to me) and I think are the Sports kind.
I find them fine and very comfortable on our very long interstate jaunts.
Agreed, very different to the X300, XJ-S, S2, and earlier cars I have owned.
I drove my old X300 the other week, as I still maintain it for the current owner, and although the seats were "soft and supple", I simply could not get comfortable in it.
I said the same when I went from the XJ-S to the X300, then back again.
My S Types are both SE X200 models. I have not tried a Sport or an R.
I think its a thing we humans get used to, like new shoes, they always hurt fo a few days and feel soooooo uncomfortable. Then it all settles down.
