As I read on the forum, having the phone button doesn't mean you have blu-tooth. However having the mic next to the sunroof does. So I do have these items, but still can't manage to figure out how to recognize my phone. Am I missing something or do I not have blu-tooth after all?

 

What year is your vehicle? Bluetooth may not have been available in these vehicles until the 2004/2005 model year. My 2005 S-Type was built in May 2005 and it indeed has Bluetooth....

Did your car's owners manual package come with a set of Bluetooth instructions? Mine did....

It doesn't guarantee it and I am fairly sure your era car could not have it but go to a dealer and get a full print out. (Most do it free.)

Or get the OE-type diagnostics and see what it finds.

Or go to TOPIX and see what it says.
