Default PO104 OBDII Reading

I have a check engine light that came on. I have a 2006 S-Type 4.0 with 58,000 miles. The OBDII Readout showed a PO104 reading. I have been told that this may be a MAF Sensor. Is that correct? Where do I start and where is the MAF Sensor located. Are they hard to replace? Are they expensive???

If the MIL comes on and the code stored is P0104, you can begin by checking the wiring to the MAF (mass air flow) sensor, which is located between the air cleaner and the inlet manifold on the engine. If the wiring is not an issue, you can inspect for an air leak causing the engine to run lean. Fuel trims will also show this to be the case if there is an air leak.

A 2006 S-Type has the 4.2 litre engine. If you do not already have it, you can download the JTIS to your computer from this forum. Look in the 'stickies' for a listing.
