2002 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 with Moonroof

Problem: Driver Side Rear Door will not open from outside or inside even when unlocked.

Solution: Does anyone know of a solution?

I have been reading online, and this seems to be a common problem.

 

The good news is if you keep reading the fix has been posted more than once - may even be in the Stickies.
