Default Putting low side manifold Guatemalan on low side port

Hi,

I am having trouble getting the low side gauge onto the low side port on my 2001 S type 4.0 liter. I can’t seem to get enough room for leverage to pull back the cap so that the guage slips over the nipple. Is there a trick to this or a tool to help?

thanks in advance for your help.

Hal

Do you have a 90 degree fitting on the end of the hose? If not, would that give you a little extra room to maneuver?

If you have straight fittings, you can get 90 degree adapters versus replacing the entire hose.

Karl,

thanks for getting back to me. Yes I do have a 90 degree connector. I am so close but I can feel the gauge just slip off the nipple. So close yet……

thank you
