Post Question about sparkplugs and coils on 2001 Jaguar S Type

Are these spark plugs good for a 2001 Jaguar S-Type? my Jag has 113K Miles, the previous owner never changed them so i think it is time before i start having problems.

Now are these good for my Jag?

Part # ITR5F13

Stock # 6044

Should i change the coils too? are these good enough?

I got this Jag with 108K miles and had the tranny rebuilt and oil changed at 110K(which everyone here helped me with), i already replaced the air filter, fuel filter and brake pads because the previous owner never did maintenance on it.

I really like this car and want to keep it running good. I still have to fix the heater, the drivers window doesn't roll down and the reverse parking assist light is stuck on OFF.

Definetly go with the Iridiums. The coil link is removed. Rock Auto.com has great prices on both.

Since you haven't specified which engine you have, there may be a few more "cheap" parts that you want to replace as well.

I also agree, beautiful vehicle!

Listen to the suggestion about replacing some other parts once you get the manifold off for the plugs. Lots of threads on how to do it. Worth doing considering the parts are not expensive.

Default Oil around plugs

If there is oil around the plugs all valve cover gaskets should be added to th list!
