Default question on radiator or expansion tank cap

Not satisfied with the heat my 2000 d-y=type v8 is putting out, warm but not blazing hot on high as my ranger is. I unscrewed what I call the radiator cap (just a liitle bit) no pressure, this after a 20 minute drive, Advance auto has a radiator cap also a expansion tank cap. The radiator cap is pressurized to 16# unknown if the expansion tank cap is pressurized only that one not in stock.
What do I have ??? surely the system should be pressurized by a 20 minute drive..

Check the coolant temperature using the OBD port and a Bluetooth adapter with Torque app on a smart phone.

Check condition of DCCV for leaks or sticking solenoids or lack of power to the connector.

Coolant reservoir cap should be rated at 110 to 120 kPa.

Advance auto had the one called expansion tank cap rated at 16#, 7 bucks.
My friend, the retired BMW mech. just happened to be at McDonald this afternoon and sat in on our Continuing Educational Enhancement Hour (CEEH), just a bunch of old geezers reading aloud current news worthy or other worth while items of interest (and jokes). Was able to bring me to date on automatic climate control systems vs the old systems of my youth.
The $7 parts is giving me hotter air, A cheap fix on a Jaguar, almost unheard of.
I understand that the new systems will never be as hot as the old.

I had the same issue .finally put a murray cap on and all is good now..and 16 lbs is correct and yes 20 mins should pressurize a good sealed properly working system..I tried 4 different brands including oem before the Murray...it gets good and tight before it starts clicking
