Default Rear Bearings

Help!!

I have grinding in the rear end. I'm having a TON of trouble locating inner and outer rear bearings for a 2000 S-Type 3.0. Jag no longer even sells these any more and wants to replace the entire rear end. NO WAY!

Does anyone know where to locate these? I've tried local shops and even Rock Auto, Bennett...etc. I need inner and outer bearings and seals.

You need to check your repair manual for your car----they have unitary bearings with inner and outer angle ball bearings built together. There are all kinds for sale in the Rock Auto catalogue and on e-bay.

You have to remove the rear suspension upright, press the hub out, remove the retaining snap ring and press the old bearing out.

Installation of the new bearing is the reverse process.
