Default Rear diff:

Ok so I spent the day working on the STR! Removed bumber, installed new HID's, restored the headlights, did an oil change, balanced all 4 tires, did a 4 wheel alignment, installed Caldoofy intake, cleaned mass air sensor, removed air box flapper, installed K&N filter...... The thing I didn't do being how I couldn't find the fill plug was the rear diff service! I see one plug on the rear diff that's half inch. Is this the drain plug or fill? And if it's the drain plug, where in the hell is the fill plug???? I spent a good 15 minutes with flash lights looking around and couldn't find anything. So does anyone have a pic or video of where this is? And before anyone says check the "do it yourself section", I did! Like 5 times. Searched and searched and searched. Super frustrating......

Hi there, this is a "sealed for life" unit, therefore no drain plug.......see a few posts below.

Most seem to release the fill plug and suck out what they can ( just did this on my X358 ) and then replace, until it seeps out and replace the plug, job done.

No doubt some of the S type gurus will jump in here......

Well a quick search brought up my post. There is only one plug so I don't know why you can't find it??

See here:

Here is the plug. No drain plug as you will read you must vacuum the oil out from this port and refill thru the same hole.
