Question Handbrake Cable

Hi Earsjohnny

I’ve just replaced Pads & Discs (Rotors) on my 2003, 4.2 S Type, as its still on axle stands I took a couple of pictures, hope it’s of help?

Body Fixing

Reinforcement hose over cable

Caliper fixing
The handbrake cable is attached to the body as seen in the first photo and not fixed again until the calliper, the cable can rub against the top of the stabiliser drop link and so has a reinforcement hose (2nd photo) over the cable also the drop link has a plastic clip fitted to the top to ease wear, incidentally mine are worn (white clip in photo) so I’ve got them on back order with David Manners, part numbers RH C2C2126, LH C2C12162.
