Rear Parcel Shelf Removal
Fold down the seats.
Pull out the tan pin things in the front of the tray.
Remove the covers of the child seat tie down hooks.
Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the hooks in.
Swing the two bolsters on either side of the seat out of the way by using the release levers behind the top of the bolsters.
Remove the c-pillar trim pieces by gently pulling them along the outside edges.
Pull the package tray towards the front of the car.

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. I managed to get the rear shelf out this morning so I could get the rear window tinted (without them having to cut around the center brake light). And managed to pursuade it back in afterwards!

What I would add is to be gentle as you pull they tray out as there is a wire harness that connects to the center brake light. Total removal requires disengaging the connector.
Also, the C-Pillar trim pieces remove much easier than they reinstall. Other than figuring out how to remove the tray itself, this was the most difficult part of the replacement of the Backup/Reverse Speaker.
Helps to be really agile/flexible and about 3 feet tall too
