Default Rear parking brake

Sorry i do t have a PC so i dont have access to JTIS. And im sure its been covered, but my searches are coming up with other topics on the emergency break.

i just replaced the rear wheel bearing, and cant figure out how get the emergency caliper back on, theres not enough clearence to fit over the rotor, and i cant figure out for the life of me how to reset it. Shouldnt have anything to do with the motor, considering the caliper is off and the cable is slack. There has to be a way to reset it?

thanks in advance

Hi we need more information about your car.

does it have an electric rear brake or not.

Do you have a tablet if so then you could go here and download a pdf file http://www.jagrepair.com/JaguarSTypeElectricalOBDIIcodes.htm
It covers the cars post facelift.

If you go to jagrepair.com and down load the http://www.jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/CarPDFFiles/SType/S-Type%202002.5-2008-FSM-Workshop.pdf.

page 290 tells you how to refit them.

looks like you have have a tool which will allow you to rotate the pistols back.

Search with brake, not break.

Your pads are worn out, get new ones before re-installing.
