Default Rear Right Brake Disk High Temperature

Hi
I have Jaguar S-Type 2008, 6V
I have issue with temperature on right rear brake disk, it get hot, the temperature reach 120c , but the other brake disks reach only 75c temperature
Also, I feel it (rear right side) braking more than other sides
I changed everything, disks, brakes, and cleaning all other parts, unfortunately, I got same result
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

You say you changed everything; I assume this includes calipers(?)
Did you replace or check the sliding pins?
I have had one of these slider pins quite stuck.

Hi Han-s
I didn't change the calipers,
I only changed disks, brake pads, rubbers of calipers

I assume the "rubbers of the calipers" means that you changed all rubber seals of the calipers? You had a complete seal kit for the calipers? That should be just as good as new calipers - if done correctly...

I assume your S-Type also has an electric hand-brake? I hope I am not mistaken, but I think even an elecrtic hand-brake used cables to get to the calipers. Any chance that these cables need adjustment or lubrication? (because if the hand brake is partially activated on the right, this would heat up the disks... (friction)).

Another idea:
I have a similar issue on my 2.5L X-Type. I have not solved the issue yet, But I believe that the internal "guts" of my caliper on one side are stuck or sticky and I need to open it and look for the problem. I think motorcarman gave me that advise. To do so I have to open that bolt, which has 5 corners - so it is not a normal hexagonal bolt. I already bought the special tool for that. I can only assume that the calipers on the S-Type are similar. So I think the idea is to open it and lubricate it on the inside. Alternatively to avoid all that trouble new brake calipers should solve the issue.

Ah, I have had exectly the same issue recently on my 2004 S type. Pushed out piston which was perfect, no corrosion or any deviations from normal. Greased the piston and put caliper back on car (no new) pads.
Issue did not go away, tech said very likely the internals that operate via handbrake construction.
Probably fixable taking the whole assembly apart clean, grease and rebuild but was adviced to spend €140 on good (Brembo) rebuilt item as risk of recurrence is big.
So this is what I did; after this no more increased heat in rear disk.

had the same issue on my 06. It was a sticking caliper. Be careful on remans. If you see a lot of pitting stay away. I went thru 3 then finally got a new one from autozone and problem solved. Also most brake pad manufacturers have a break in procedure. Make sure to follow if there is one. Ceramic will run hotter. I like semi metallic. Best of both worlds
