Hi, Has anyone tried adding a Rear Sun Shade to their S-Type? From what I can tell, it was an option. Mine doesn't have it, and I'd like to add it to block out some of the Florida sun. If anyone knows where I can get one, or any other fcats, I'd be v. grateful. Thanks.

 

If you mean the pop-in rear side window shades, they're available through any dealer as an accessory. I bought a pair several years ago.

If you mean the roll-up manual shade for the rear window, that was never an option or an accessory that was offered in the US. It was available as an accessory in Europe (part no.JLM-21464) and came in a few different colors. When I looked into this, I found that it could not be ordered through any US Jaguar dealer. You'd need to order it from a dealer in Europe and have it shipped, which gets expensive. I didn't get it because I realized that the rear window is so upright and short that not much sun gets into the car from there anyway. I don't think it's worth the bother.

 

My 06 S-Type VDP has it. The thing rises up out of the rear package shelf. The switch for it is mounted in the overhead panel. Looks like it would be quite expensive to retrofit a car with it.

Mine came with it and I love it. Would be costly to install I would assume.
