Just thougt I'd post another DIY successfully done. Just got done with the front drivers side window regulator on my 2002 S-type. And yes....I did use the cheaper part from the Lincoln LS. Followed the DIY under "Guides by Gus" in the FAQ section. Opted for drilling out the one hole (you'll see what I mean when you read the DIY) for those of you who are doing this for the first time. I believe the distinction about whether you can use the Licoln LS part comes in whether you have have a 2002 or a mid year change (2002.5) model. Would like one of the more proficient members to clarify that please, I don't really have the experience level to be dispensing advice. What newbies can take away from this is a "If that guy can do it, then so can I" mentality. Because trust me...if I can..so can you.
OH, and just to put the icing on the cake. Leaving dad's house where I did the job, and the PASSENGER side broke while I was still in the driveway! Ugh! Well, at least now I know how to fix it. I laughed. My wife has yet to find the humor in the situation.
