removed and replaced 2000 s type 3.0
First off I want to thank tdc engine and trans removal.
I wanted to try to make life easier on myself and just pull the motor and leave the trans in the vehicle. With the info from the other thread about removing the starter, power stearing pump, ac, alternator top right pulley and disassamble the exhaust. Take off windshield wipers, plastic panel and the crossbar to get access to the back of the motor. Unhook all wiring connectors. (There are 4 on back of the motor). Move your wiring harness out of the way.
Also the intake manifold.
With the harness out of the way you probably also removed the ground strap that's were I put one side of the chain on back of the motor.
There are 4 torque converter bolts you have to remove do the best you can by moving the flexplate with a screwdriver to get to all 4 nuts.
remove all transmission to motor bolts. The top bolts you can get to from the top back of the motor with harness out of the way. It took a lot to get the two separated.
one nut on both sides undoes the motor mounts.
(Sorry if its scattered im trying to do this at my fireststion on my phone.)
front chain I attached to a bolt just above the water pump just under the hose.
hopefully the pictures will help people in other ways.
My daughter's car had 241000 and I bought this for 300, 91000 and a later 2000.
(Side note there are better differences in the car parts.
dip stick is different THE MARKING FOR THE OIL level.
less cheap ford parts in the later 2000 s type.
my daughter's car needed lots of parts off this persons car.

I'm sure I will have a lot of ya I forgot to say.blame it on my old age.
I did have a jack with wood under the front of the transmission.
It was a pain getting the new motor mated to the transmission due to the little windows to look through to get the torque converter bolts into the flex plate.
