Repairing an '04
Update since my last thread. Many have suggested that the car sold, instead of storing it. I did bring it up with my sibblings, and we did discuss it. The majority are now for selling it, because they have also consulted their own "experts," and all have given the same suggestion.
Well, I don't want the car gone, so I sold my car and bought the Jag. The money went to my newphew's account. Problem now, I don't have much left to repair the car. Currently using wife's car to drive to and from work.
What I do know about the car's history (facts):
-Came into my garage in November of 2011
-Was starting and running just fine, but it did need to get jumpped to start.
-Jumpping the car no longer worked, and the car has sat in garage since Jan/Feb 2012.
-There was very little fuel left in the car.
-When jumpper cables are connected, all of the electronics do work, but car does not start.
-There is a clicking noise, but car does not try to "turn over" like you would hear from older cars.
I am a DIYer, and links with instructions will definately help. But my background is 80s JDM, so most of the electronic stuff is new to me.
The car will become my daily driver, but there will always be the option for my nephew to buy from me if he ever wants it.
Currently the car does not start. I have added 1/2 a gallon of 91 gas to the car, but that did not do the trick (wishful thinking I know =p)
This is a list of what I'm going to do first.
1. Tune up. Going to flush out system and put new fluids in. Spark plugs. Oil/filter.
Question: would it be better to use Jag fluids, or do you recommend something else?
I know I will need to change parts, but not sure what order to do it in to check and see which will most likely start the car.
Battery, starter, alternator.
Suggestions?

I think this is a better idea than the storage.
You need to give us some more info V6 or V8 mileage etc.
No need for special fluids, just stick within the specs.
I'd go with the new battery first and see what happens.

Probably the battery. Try to avoid any jump starting. The computers are fairly tolerant but they are after all sensitive.
Please remind us the exact model details so we can better help..

s-type
It has over 200k km
But When I last drove it, it drives like new (IMO). Smooth and responsive.
It does not have any emblems in the back, and I'm not too sure on how to verify the engine size. I did not see anything in the glove compartment, nor the Jag manual package. So For now I'm assuming it is a v6.
I plan on getting a battery sometime this week.

Post the VIN if you like or if interested in more, email jag from their web site and ask for the build details (tell them the VIN). It's a cool list

Lots of people have had a helpful response from jag so I'm at a loss. You're the very first I can recall who didn't.
There are VIN decoders on the net that might be some use and you can get trim etc from labels on the car if you look.

Yes, it sucks that they didn't help me immediately. So I did some research, and checked out some engines.
What I have is the V6.
Update:
Got a new battery and installed. Car started up right away. I also had to shut it down, because oil is low. Will update once I get that done and have a feel for how its driving.

I've finally had some time to get started on the oil change. Problem now, I just broke 2 sockets and a wrench on the oil drain bolt. The bolt didn't strip, but neither did it budge.
wd-40ed it for now. Looks like I'll have to try again a different day.

Wd40 does nothing quit buying it.
What you want is some pb blaster, or if you can find it kroil. Get a good 6 point socket and a breaker bar, with some pipe on it if needed. Worst case if you round it off, buy a cheap socket from HF the next size down and hammer it on.
