Are you talking about changing entire radio? Or just the changer in the trunk?

If the changer only, replace with what is there. If you don't want to do that, your choice as to what brand. We all have our preference. I would go with Pioneer personally.

I couldn't speak for what you are capable of

I am sure you could change it yourself. If it is factory one (left side of trunk) easy. If you are planning on replacing fadctory one with aftermarket....different story. Maybe there is someone that could help you with harnesses changes etc.
