I have late 2003 s type. Had bad coil pack and replaced (thanks for all the help)
car is fixed bust still have amber check engine light on. Tried disconnecting negative terminal off battery and touch cable to positive terminal for 15 seconds.
Reset windows sunroof and epb. Amber light still on. Do I need to dive it a while or does this need reset by obd2 reader?

OBDII or just a few drive cycles should clear the amber light, if it is indeed the coil that was bad.Originally Posted by mikewv100

Battery off clears codes (and learned values) so if you still have the liight you still have code(s).

I would get the codes read at a auto parts store. After they read them have all codes cleared. Then drive for a while to verify everything is clear.
Just because you fixed what you thought was the problem does not mean all the problems are gone!

I received p0305 and when I changed coil pack on number 5. Miss went away car ran smooth and reduced performance quit. Runs fine. I will go to local autostore and have them clear. Thanks

That's odd but I have heard of them saying that before. Now I have had to show them on the scanner how to do it. They usually say can't clear the codes don't know how?
