A friend of mine has a set of lincoln ls rims from a 2002 model. Without having to drive a few hours to visit and check would these rims fit my 2000 stype. The bolt pattern is the same but not sure about everything else.

Depends...are they the same diameter (17", 18", or) as the "S"? If yes, they'll work.

 

What will work on an STR? Something cheaper from a Lincoln? Wouldn't have to be 245s at the back would they. Just put Blizzacks on steel/cheap rims?

 

As long as the donor wheels are the same diameter they'll work.
