Is the hole in the Sub-frame or in the body? The sub-frame can be replaced. The body would have to have the rusted panels cut out and repaired.

Definitely the subframe..it's the structure that goes from one side of the car to the other holds the rear suspension in place.

Start looking on E-bay for a sub-frame that fits your model year car. Should be several available in the $150 price range. I've purchased a couple for $100 for my projects.

It is a straight forward job to swap it out, but will take some time. If you can do it without taking apart the brake lines, it will save a lot of time. While you are at it, you should inspect all the control arm bushings and replace as needed. You will have to plan on getting things aligned after you swap the parts. If the car is rusted out I would suspect that many of the other parts have been exposed to the same conditions that caused it to rust in the first place.

Pictures would be nice of the damaged areas....
