I do not have an "R" but I found rotors at Autozone. Two year warranty. I also used their Ceramic C-Max Gold (I think) with life-time warranty. I have seen zero dust in 2-3k miles. Wheels totally clean. I am impressed. Stopping power is good too. I will put them on all my vehicles.

But do a search on the forum. I saw an "R" specific brake thread on here when I was looking for new pads and rotors.

I was told that you CAN change pads without replacing rotors.

If you do so without turning the rotors, I would definitely get pads with a life-time replacement warranty.

If the rotors are not new or 'turned', they will wear the new pads much more quickly.

Let us know how you make out, and what you decide to do. DEFINITELY go with a good pair of ceramic pads regardless if you change the rotors or not. If you bring it to a good brake shop, get a nice pair of ceramics and have some "life' left on your rotors, Im sure they will make it work.

The rotors for the STR are kinda pricey to put it mildly. i just purchased the rears for 260$ but the front pair which are bigger cost a little over 400$ I have searched everywhere for drilled and slotted but nobody seems 2 have the rotors except the dealer and one other parts dealer in seattle--888-378-7278..his are abt the same price as dealer..The rotors are pretty thick and big and I think if you have a guy that can file them down you can get away with it, but you have to use new pads..the same guy as above has some Minteks that are ceramic-organic and they are abt 50$ for a pair but I decided to go with EBC redstuff. theyre expensive and wear a little faster, but they are some of the best.

Relax man....Um i would take the option of filing down existing rotors and spend a couple hundo on ceramic pads (w/ labor) than a "fancy" set of drilled rotors and pads for 8 hundo any day. Sh*t already stops MORE than fine with original rotors
