LTFT's are both under 5. I will check for a vacuum leak with some carb cleaner. I must say that the issue seems to be happening to a lesser extent now. I've covered about 250 miles since the oil and filter change, I guess it's starting to adapt to the cleaner fluid?

If it's improving I'd see if it gets better to the point where it's fine.

I think I spoke too soon, I just got back from a trip up to Liverpool and it is still flaring. It actually seems to be more noticeable in sports mode, where it wasn't so apparant before.

I guess I'll continue to troubleshoot; I'll check fuel trims during shifts next weekend. I've done more than enough miles since the fluid/filter swap that it the gearbox must have readopted, I can't imagine having it reset by my local specialist would make much difference.

Is there any possibility that the budget battery that the previous owner installed could cause this issue? I know that these cars are very sensitive with batteries. It looks to be pretty new and at the correct spec and there are no other weird symptoms, so this is probably a long shot.

All things are possible, but not all things are likely. Weak batteries do cause all sorts of xmsn codes among other such nonsense. I don't recall any reports of them causing actual transmission performance problems, however.

Hi.

Just wondering if you got this flare sorted.
I'm experiencing the same, probably about 50-100 rpm. Had a full atf change some months ago. Some issues with abs after so I think the shift patterns learned badly.

Did you get the adapations reset? Or was it an air leak, maybe from the brake booster pipe quick release? (I had this disconnected twice to replace plugs and gaskets)

I'll get my scanner on the fuel trims and see what it does during shifting.

Feels like something is blipping the throttle as you shift like in an old manual with carbs.

Thanks
