Found this behind the L/H rear seat (in the crevice) when I put the the rear seat backs down. Doesn't seem to match any weather stripping. Could it possibly be some sort of rubber protective strip that might go around the edge of the entrance between the trunk & passenger compartment? Maybe someone with an S-Type can put their back seats down & look around that opening for such an item & let me know. Thanks.

I dont have that on my car but it might have come off and been lost by previous owner.

download jtis and jepc and have a trawl through them, you might come across it there
