Your best bet is probably to find used replacements on ebay.

 

Joe, here's whom I found 'High Tech Service', the webpage does not list Jag but they do repair them... Got good feedback from a dealer & a used car salesman I know (their local to me), will be trying them 1st of the year. FYI, if you google them, they have a youtube on how to pull it out of a 2002+ x-type, simliar but I believe s-type we need to also remove the horse shoe console bezel ...

You might find a shop that can repair it. My XJ8L had a bad capacitor that caused a number of problems. My Jag dealer cleaned up all the circuits and replaced some capacitors and now the unit works fine. You can also try car-parts.com for a replacement unit.

 

I found a local electronic shop [Los Angeles, CA] that fixes many different OEM brands of Navigation units... got the referral from a dealer. They do not list Jag but they fix all Denso units and if googled they have a youtube for R&R an x-type which is similar to the s type except removing the horse shoe bessel on the S type

I would not even mess with it. I see a used unit on Ebay now for $250. The repair will that or more IF they can repair it.
