Hi, Has anyone had success rebuilding a 2.7TD bottom end as everything I read steers you away from it. I have one with 55K which had inducted water due to low level flood. Water was removed and car now starts but with bottom end knock, probably bent conrods?

Can the bottom end be successfully rebuilt and are all the big ends, mains, conrods etc available as I see in the early years Jaguar only supplied a short motor.

There seems to be a few ads on ebay.co.uk I think they can call out to you, remove your engine and replace it with a re-built engine.
