Default S-Type 2000 manual shift gear change issues

Greetings guys. I drive a jag S-Type 3.0V 6L manual transmission. Recently Ive noticed that whenever the engine gets warm it bcomes increasingly difficult to change gears. Last time I had to get off the road and pump the clutch for a while before I could be on my way. It is really annoying especially when you have a nice lady sitting in such a beautiful car with you. Total mood spoiler 😂😂😂 what to do?
Many thanks in advance.

Welcome.

Many things come to mind, but my OLD brain says "change the clutch fluid". It is possibly the original, and is the same as Brake Fluid, and SHOULD be changed every 2 years MAX.

People in the S Type section will have answers BUT, bear in mind, NOT all markets got the manual version, or stick shift, as the USA calls it.

OK.

I just gave some suggestions in your Intro thread.

Have a quickie look, maybe it helps.

You've posted this same question in Intro, General Tech Help and here in S-Type forum. I've deleted the one in General Tech Help, moved the one in Intro and merged it with this one. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Do NOT multi post the same question across different forums. It annoys members and is not the best way to get replies.

+1 on changing the clutch hydraulic fluid and also the brake fluid.

Check the master and slave cylinders for leakage and the unions and under rubber boots.

Obtain JTIS from this forum under the 'stickies' section, or purchase a pdf version of the Workshop Manual from an eBay or Internet vendor for roughly 10$US.
