My cooling fan never comes on even after idling for 30 minutes. It is 85 outside Have 3.0. Temp gauge climbs to middle and stops This seems strange. Biggest issue to me is AC doesn't cool unless at highway speed. Works fine then. I am sure the fans not working will cause issues after long idling. Can't handle AC not working in town. This started happening about 5 months ago. I did change coolant reservoir. Is there anything I could have done there??

Very shocked that car is not overheating.

It might be overheating

E.g. if ECT (see below) is giving wrong value. Fans would not turn on.

Have you checked the fan fuses & relay(s)?
