Default s type diesel cooling prob

2.7 diesel jaguar 2004 my engine is getting hot iv had my cooling fan tested its works ok but its not getting a signal to kick in the coolant in the header tank and top hoses are very hot but still fan not working any ideas

Use ETM (see below) and see what ECT is. Then you know what the PCM knows and it's the PCM which controls the fan.

Post the values as it warms up / when overhot and someone will probably know whether they're in range.

hi sorted the fan fault at jaguar stratstone Bolton fault was corroded wire in the wiring loom 78 pound very happy with service and price

thanks to all who gave advise. the fault was corroded wire in wiring loom fan ok thermostat ok good outcome fixed at jaguar stratstone Bolton 78 pound happy with outcome even more happy with price
