Question S-Type Instrument Cluster - black on white?

My wife loves our old S-Type 4.2 V8 but hates the white on black instruments. "Why can't they be like the Toyota?"

Has anyone a suggestion where to find a compatible instrument panel in black on white? Back in the 1960s I could have strolled down the hill and visited the car instruments shop round the corner! Amazing but true. Across the road was a grocers and next door a Post Office.

Things car-wise have changed.

Not possible but you could take out the part whose colour you wish to change and figure a way to do just that.

Do not plug any other cluster in or you risk the car going to anti-theft.

I suppose suggestions about looking at the ROAD instead would not be welcome?

can you at least change the instrument light bulbs to white LED ones? At least they'll give the white part of the cluster a brighter look. And who wants something that looks like some cheap toyota when they have a Jag, anyway?

Default S-Type Instrument Cluster - black on white?

Sorry it has taken a while to come back on this one.

Were y'all aware that the SS100 had, guess what, white dials with black writing on them. Sadly any attempt at changing the S-Type's panel to an SS100 equivalent just produces too many impossible requirements.

eBay for overlay decals.

Something similar to this:
