Hello,

i have a 2005 4,2 V8 S-Type and i ve noticed my steering wheel assist works fine but only in "highway" mode. There is no more assist at low speed, for exemple when you want to park.

I ve done some researchs and found that the problem is probably the variable assist actuator which is located somewhere on the power steering rack. (i also have the DTC code C1925...) but i can't manage to find any picture or diagram of this part ? can someone help me ?

Hi I was trying to replace my steering assist actuator as well, but I could not find the part number of this control valve. Any help would be appreciated.

 

did you find this part anywhere to purchase or a part number as I am having similar issue on my 2003 S Type R I like the firmer steering whilst the car is moving but it now of late is to firm when parking in tight spots, was not like it before early October of this year,
