I assume you have the JTIS?

It has been some time ago (2 years), but I still remember it was a pain to get out as the EGR unit itself was stuck. If you take of the EGR control unit (that caused me the biggest pain, as it was totally stuck), you will see the EGR pipe connection. I think at some point I took out the air cabin filer box, as (iirc) that gave me easier access from the side of the engine to the intake elbow to get the EGR pipe off, but not sure if that is needed, it is just too long ago.

Good luck.

I see. the EGR is so rusted I couldnt see the bolts. I will try to remove the air box to see if I can reach it that way, since its off I can lay carbon fiber on the box as well. Its just had me fustrated las night since I got all the screws and the intake elbow was loose but not completly everything else was easy. Its that EGR that is getting on my nerves. Thanks also for the snout plus the money you save me, going towards long tube headers. I will try tonight and report. Nevermind Im leaving work now.
