Default S Type R parking brakes.

Can any of you Tech's get a hold of an R parking brake caliper diagram or exploded view. My dealer still insists that their not dragging even though there is a clear pattern and loads of dust! I wan't to see how I can modify them so they will possitivley release everytime. Thanks!! I hate to replace the pads until I can get this resolved.

You're still having this issue badmojo? E-brake shouldn't be wasting AT ALL! Sorry to hear it's still a problem though.

We'll they finall admitted that there was a problem and that the parking calipers were sticking causing the pads to wear and guess what? I still had to pay for the new pads and install. Just the labor to repair or replace the calipers is covered but I had to call select edition to find that out! So $320.00 later lets hopt that this issue is over for good!

Hey, Guess what after pointing out to Jaguar N.A. that my park pads were only 7000 mi. old when they wore down to the metal they investigated and agreed that there was a problem and are sending me a check for 50 % of the cost of the repair and replacement of the pads. I AM HAPPY! Finally someone sees it MY WAY!!

I rue the day when I have to go to the dealer. I'll consider going in armed or with a video crew.

Not a bad Idea! This service manager actually believes his own B.S. and that's the worst kind of B.S. er.
I called every local dealer and the laughed at the fact that the pads needed to be replaced and they really laughed when I told them how many mi. were on them. But my guy says that he replaces them all the time. I beleive HE probably does! but then he said that he replaces them every 2 to 3 brake jobs. That's 40 to 60K at least, not 7K!!!

Thaks for the info. If this really covers my year (2003) I will defenitly order it but title says 99 to 2000 and ad says to 2003. 2003 was actually the redesign year and should not be included in previous years as far as I know. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway thanks for the interest!!
