Default S type seat drive mechanism

The forward and back drive mechanism is getting a bit noisy,it has been on auto for 12 years driving back and forwards everytime you insert the key.It has had no maintenance and I would like to inspect it for wear / lubrication the question I would like some help with is how can you access the mechanism ? the car is a 2001 SE auto S type 3 litre leather seats.

Do you have the free shop manual that is called the JTIS?

Look at the top of the forum for JTIS and the sticky will give you all the details.

Default Seat mechanism

I have downloaded theJTIS but could find no mention of the seats. It looks to me that the seat base will lift if one only knew where the retaining bolts were.Any ideas ?

The post facelift seats have four bolts, two front and two back easiest way is to drive the seat back and take out the front ones then drive forward for the other two if it's the same.
