My manager has a double black G35 Journey and it's definately a sharp car. Clean (although a bit uninspiring) lines and quick too. I actually looked at a G35X recently, as I was searching for an AWD winter car (so far not much luck with X Types). Again, a nice car, but what I found interesting was that the Maxima offers more luxury equipment standard (ie. heated steering wheel, panoramic roof, std Bose system...). Having driven in both my Jag and the G35, I feel the seats and the ride in the Jag are better suited for long distance driving, and the G35's for more spirited driving. Styling is purely a matter of taste and despite being a bit slower, I like the Jag's linear V8 power flow, as opposed to the 6 in the G. Keep in mind that the G and the S Type are not really comparables. The M would be better suited for a comparison.
