Seat Memory Gremlin!
Ok so, with the memory driver adjustments, I am memory 1, Joe is memory 2.
A week or so ago I went to go out with my daughter, pushed my memory button and the seat shifted just a tad (like it was set for a very tall driver) so I pushed it again and even though it displayed "Memory 1 Selected" or whatever it says, it didn't work.
I am, however, the the mom of a very tall teenager whome I confronted and he strongly denied messing with anything, and reminded me I keep my keys put up and finished with "I might be dumb, Mom (he took his grandmother's Kia for an unauthorized cruise), but I wouldn't take the Jag, I'm not suicidal."
I digress.
After a near miss on filicide, I try again to use the memory button, no love. So I try button 2 and it goes just like it's supposed to.
I'm frustrated but I go about manually resetting everything (all manual seat adjustments worked fine) including the memory button. After that it's worked just fine--until today.
Exact same thing happened, except I didn't go postal on the kid or reset the memory, just moved the seat up and got going (I was late for class).
Tried the button after class and nothing again.
Stuck in traffic so I'm fiddling with the auto switch on the column, pondering my seat issue.
Make my grocery stop and getting back into the Jag, I hit the memory button one more time, and be damned if it didn't work!
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a cure or should I just keep it dry and not feed it after midnight?
This file in the TSBs may help: http://jim.customer.netspace.net.au/...%20SYSTEMS.ZIP
The flow chart kinda mostly helped, gonna have to read the fine print on my aftermarket warranty-I insisted it cover electronics- and figure out where to go to have the short tracked down.
