To sell or not to sell ? Does anyone else think the s type r will soon go up in value
I'm struggling to run both my jag and T5 one as to go in terms of insurance etc the Jag seems the obvious choice , but should I sell it or simply put under wraps , not expecting it to ever be worth a fortune , but do you see the model holding its price , it already seems so much car for its value , it's 2006 black on black and I kind of love it .
I somehow doubt the S-types will ever be viewed as a collector car. There again, very few cars of any marque regain even a fraction of their original value.
There's a very nice Type R for sale right now by a fellow member for $3500. I'd snap it up if I had room.

I think the S will appreciate, simply because so few people are prepared to rescue them.
So lots are ending up in scrapyards. There were only about 8000 built, so it is a rare car.
We have seen this story a number of times before, but you never know.
I will hang on to mine simply because I think it is a gorgeous car.!

I have R107 SL that I purchased about 10 years ago. The valuations on these today are still about the same as when I purchased mine.
Usually, cars appreciate because of desirability. That is, there must be enough people that feel nostalgic about particular car to drive demand. That why Mustangs costs more than Model A.

Not yet anyway!
I am the guy with the $3500 2005 STR for sale.
These cars just have no value. No demand.
Great cars but the old man look styling is just very out of date at this moment.

^^ Agreed. The eventual buyers for our S-Types must already be very familiar with the marque and have good reasons to want one. These cars simply do not attract the stereotypical tire-kicker looking for something different....
