I am trying to pull out the serpentine belt in jaguar 4.2 2003 stype, but there is no space between AC pulley and car body , I would need to squeeze the belt in order to extract it ? same as the new one or really i need to raise the engine to have more space?

 

Did you loosen the bolt that holds the serpentine belt adjuster unit? That should offer enough space.

I'm sure others will chime in.
