Does anyone know where I can purchase OEM shocks for a 2003 S-Type R, the really expensive ones with the adaptive suspension. I received a quote from the Jaguar dealership in San Diego and they mentioned that the fronts were about $500 and the rears about $600 a piece.

If you are serious you can get them rebuilt.
It has been posted before but it requires you remove the struts send them in and wait while they are being rebuilt. So your car would be down while all this happened.

What is wrong with your stock ones? They seem to last very well. On my 2005 STR with 102K miles I have all 4 original CATS and they are still fine.

You might want to check the strut body to see if it's oily and how bad the oil is. If they are in real bad shape you could even see drips of oil coming off the strut.

As the miles build is normal to get a bit of oily deposit on the outside tube of the strut but it should be pretty minor.

I hope that you are well. My shocks are leaking oil. I never thought of getting my shocks rebuilt. Do you know of a place that rebuilds shocks?
