Thanks, but can you tell me if it is "sealed for life" like the one on the X-Type. That annoys me so much, my Jaguar dealer refuses to change the AFT because of the factory "sealed for life" claim. A local transmission repair place where I've had trannys on other cars replace also was very coy when I asked if they would be willing to do a fluid change.

Jag dealers wont service it because they want to sell you a new trans

I take mine and have it flushed at local change center its a nice one they connect to trans Cooler line's one shoots new fluid in theother takes it out till system is full very cool machine $100.00 charge got 165 k on mine been changing sense 80k I use synthetic fluid so far 4 flushes the first time it was very dark almost black fluid take that x to the changer station , you can see the fluid coming out and new going in throught clear tubes at the machine

You need to change the filter. Just flushing does an incomplete job. The filter is built into the pan.

Default filter

We No were the filter is , I tend to disagree waste of labor and money and time on a filter , whats in the filter will stay there,if there is alot of metal or material you have trans problems coming anyway .

Do you also change your engine oil and use the old filter??
Not a bright idea!

No when changing my oil I normally recycle the filter, I’m not saying neverchange the filter I’m saying if you know the mileage on it and have changed it before 100k and it’s a filter that’sgood for 100k per factory( a sealed unit )you can get away with maintaining the trans fluid changes regularly every 30k by flushing without having to change filter therefore not having any debris at all in the filter besides the fact that there only good down to 30 microns , also if you’re not flushing it you’re not completing the job if your just draining the fluid and pan and changing the filter in your garage like you probably are you are not completing the job.
