Was does the A/C always turn on when I turn the defrost on?

It also serves as an air dryer to help with the defrosting or demisting.

Yup, it is the same with ALL vehicals, just the Jag shows it. BTW, in AUTO mode just cuz the light for AC is on don't mean the AC is running.
