Silly question about power door lock actuator

Hello everyone,
If I put a new power door lock actuator on my S-Type do I then need to take the car to my local *********** to get the actuator programmed to my remote key fob?

I don't think so, the actulator is a motor not part of the FOB.

No, the remote fob is separate and is programmed to the driver's door module. You are simply replacing the motor that cycles the lock.
