Default Slowly getting through things

Ok got the car back from garage yesterday, it was in for headgasket.
The valve stem oil seals where also renewed as was anything else which was in the head gasket kit.
Car feels smooth tight and even the transmission seems to shift smoother?

I was wondering if there are any accessories out there for where your left foot rests under normal driving. ( auto trans) see jaguar used lovely carpet throughout but after nearly 100k of miles where the footrest has been used its carpet pile is flat etc. I've wet vaced the dirt out but you'll never get the pile up again.
So was wondering if there are any mods or accessories like a plastic heel plate?

Also tried air con it blows semi cold so hoping it just needs a re gas. Hard to tell if compressor kicks in as the v8 is a big lump to put stress on anyway, but can hear like a electronic noise when sometime sounds like its opening or closing if you turn ac on or off.

Hi ,
I'm sure the footrest was an optional fitting for the manual UK car and I think a standard fitting for cars with automatic transmission. I would check with your dealer and see if they can supply one through their Parts operation.
My manual does not have this option either, but have fitted a large shaped floor mat to overcome the problem.
My previous Rover 75s all had this item as a standard fitting and was surprised by its omission in the S-Type.
In case you do not know what a Rover 75 looked in the like in the USA, I have attached some pictures of the ones I had before the S-Type.

Arden Green 75 Club SE.

Dorchester Red 75 Classic SE.

and the last one I had, in White Gold 75 Club SE Tourer. All 3 were great cars. Pity they are no longer made.

Hope your car settles down now after the Head Gasket repair and that you start to enjoy the ownership of your S-Type again.

Regards,
Telfer.

Give a call or email to Chris over at Mina Gallery (minagallery.com) they have a very nice racing pedal set for a resonable price. I know you blokes drive on the wrong side of the street over there, but I bet Chris and his team can whip you up a set to match the right- hand drive kitty!

Cheers!

It's called a dead pedal and any perforamnce car should have one. Ford Motorsports has one I have installed in about 5-6 cars.

But my 2005 STR seems to have some plastic over the carpet in that area. Kind of a semi-dead pedal.

You people and your awsome euro cars. Turbo diesels in every thing, wagons galore. I love my Volovo V70R wagon. Who needs a truck when my wagon can tow 3000 lbs and gets 33 mpg on the fwy when I'm not beating on it.

I would love to have one of the Nissan Primera p11 wagons or even an Mitsubishi Galant Vr4 wagon or one of the Nissan wagons you can get the RB25/26 in.
