Angry So defective quality of My S-type 2.7D Jag

I am so annoyed about my so defective quality of S-type 2.7 Jag
manufactured in 2006
---------------------------------------------

Just after buying the jag, I found out several defects on my jag
so I complained about them to the dealer on the first year of the purchase.
The dealer seduced us to fix it up instead of changing the defected jag to new one.
He also promised to change all possible defected parts of jag to new decent ones and declared that there's no more problems or defects about our jag after fixing it. After 3years warranty, there's several defects on our jag, injector burst up,
3times cooling water part breaks up, serious braking boost and pump parts defects(Two weeks ago, My wife was nearly got accident for this. ) and finally engine malfunction(Our Center chief mechanic told me there was so serious engine problems that he have to change the engine to the new one on my own expense several days ago).
My wife drove the car in the daily basis, from home to the horse riding club, child's school and shopping center though it is 7years old, mileage is only less
than 40K miles and she managed the car only in the designated jaguar car service according to the Jaguar's car care service.

I am so disappointed at not only the defective quality of My Jaguar, S-Type 2.7D
but also the neglectful manner & measures of Jaguarkorea service.
I asked my dealer and S. Korea distributor to compensate for our defected jag
since my wife and I never, never feel our jag is a decent car
because the defective problems started just after purchase and it never stops
my wife had to drop by the jaguar car center 36times for less than 40K miles
to fix up & maintain my defective Jaguar but they firmly refused to my request just for out of warranty furthermore they never investigate the defective
quality of my Jaguar.

I guess they are only interested in the number of jaguar selled, not the quality
nor the afterservice of Jag.
I send my e-mail about this to the jaguar in the UK, throuth jagcrc@jaguar.com
and information@jaguar.co.uk several times but I did not get any reply yet.

Is there anyone to help me on this?

It's sad to hear your story about the poor quality of your S-Type. Here in Florida we have some pretty good Lemon Laws for new cars and the S-Type that I have (bought new by my in-laws in '03) was "this close" to being Lemon Law-ed but the Jaguar dealership did everything in their power to make sure that didn't happen -- just short of being dishonest and conning my in-laws into keep it. Now that it's 11 years old and mine, the quality doesn't seem so bad, but when I ask about little "defects" my in-laws tell me that that's how it was from the start and they complained all the time and never got those little things fixed. The lesson to be learned is when you buy a new car, complain loudly and if you don't get any satisfaction from the dealership, complain to the higher ups. I've been successful in getting Acura to replace a leased vehicle with a new one (simply swapped the car for me, one year newer, brand new car for my one year old, over-mileage leased vehicle!) when I complained to the regional manager.

Of course, I have no idea what your recourse is in your country, but I hope you get some kind of resolution.

Thanks for your quick reply for this matter.
I love to get "the Sour Lemon Law" from you.^^
Here in S.Korea We do not have any punitive compensation Law
though I will try everything I can on this.

P.S.: I love to revisit FL, I have been to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and
Miami & Bahama Islands for Cruise tour with my family.

If you're looking for guidance on how to repair and maintain your car, this is the place.

My own S-type has been by far the most reliable car I've ever owned and has not needed a visit to a dealer since the warranty expired. Visits to other mechanics beyond routine mtce. have been almost non-existent.

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to own a car at the opposite end of the scale.
