Default Soddin' Potholes

Driving home the other evening, manouvered round a parked truck and dropped straight into this little F**&**** at 35mph!

Luckily the tyre didn't burst but it has flattened a section of the wheel rim and bulged the sidewall of the tyre.
I originally thought that it was just the tyre that had gone, but when the fitter put the wheel on the balancer you could see the huge flat in it.
I've managed to find a replacement on Fleabay so changed it over last thursday, only to find I still had the steering wheel shake at 50mph, disappearing at 63mph. Got home, jacked the front up on the other side, sod me, the other rim also has a flat in it!
So, one rim in the repair shop, I'll pick that up tomorrow afternoon, and when I do he can change the tyre over and fix the other one as well.
Bloody potholes, I thought my road tax fee was supposed to be paying for this crap to be dealt with.

It's supposed to pay for it, and there's a huge surplus from motorists - but they spend it on other things

You can get the council to pay up (if it's one of their roads, as it appears).

No worries about that, the claim went in as soon as the rim damage was found, but guess what................

Didn't take them that long did it now, thank god for cameras on phones these days.

Oh that's a minor league pothole compared with what have in New Jersey.

I wish my roads looked that good!

It's been so bad here these last several years that it looks like everyone one is DUI as they try to dodge the potholes weaving back and forth.
